Hilchos Shemoneh Esrei designed for independent learning. The halachos are presented in English and are followed by comprehension questions.
The teacher can start off her conference by learning a Halacha a day about Shemoneh Esrei. Great for these times when it is of utmost importance for everyone to be working on their Tefillah. The students should have the comprehension questions in advance and the teacher should inform them each day as to which questions they should be answering.The teacher can review the Halacha of the day before by asking a question to the class and having the girls type in the answers.

Roshei Teivos Roshei Teivos Game

Have the students brush up on their roshei teivos by playing this enjoyable game. Players have to match the correct word to the abbreviation in order to get four words covered in a row.
The teacher can say one of the Roshei Teivos. everyone has to jot the phrase on a paper. At the end, the teacher reads the list of phrases and whoever got it right gets a point. This can be done daily at the end of the conference. Incentives should be given out at the end for all the points accumulated.Teacher can say a word. The students have to pick up the correct card and the students can accumulate points by being the fastest to pick it up. Additionally, this can be played by the teacher setting up partners . Each group of partners mix up their cards and have a race who could put the cards on the correct place on the board first.
Yedios Klalios Families in Tanach: Game

A review game of some of the families in Tanach which can be played independently. Students match the correct husband, father or children to the name on the board. The cards are color coded and will form a picture when arranged correctly so the students can self-check.
This game should be handed out in advance. The teacher should explain it and the students can do it on their own time.The teacher can show the class how to play. Students can show their finished products to their teacher.

A series of clearly formatted charts, both blank and filled in, with family trees for the shevatim, the avos and imahos, the generations from Adam to Avraham and Shevet Levi. Includes a version in Yiddish.
It would be best to have these sheets handed out in advance. The students should fill in their chart while the material is being taught.The teacher can enlarge these sheets and show them to the class, filling them in as she gives over her lesson.
Hilchos Brachos Hilchos Bracho Rishona and Bracho Achrona Unit

This is a comprehensive unit covering Brachos Rishonos and Acharonos! It is comprised of a complete set of guided notes written in fill-in-the-blank format and an accompanying teachers’ guide. Review sheets and tests are also included. Special emphasis is placed on Dinei Kadima B’vrachos and a separate PowerPoint presentation outlining these Halachos is included as well.
This can be done as a unit or a few Halachos a day. Students should have these sheets in advance and fill in the blanks whenever necessary.Students should be tested the next day as a review. The teacher can ask a question and see who can be from the first five girls to type in their answers.
Gedolim Litvish Gedolim Posters

Beautiful posters (11”x17”) of ten Litvish Gedolim who were Niftar between the years 1927-1965. A plaque at the bottom of each poster includes the Gadol’s name and some salient facts about his life.
These posters should be copied and handed out in advance. The teacher should go thruogh the Gedolim and teach about that Gadol’s life.The Gadol posters can be shown to the class while that Gadol is being discussed.
Jewish History Time Periods in Jewish History: PowerPoint Presentation

This slideshow categorizes major time periods in Historia according to the people who lived during each period. Periods are divided into Avos, Dor Hamidbar, Shoftim, Melachim, Anshei K’neses Hagedola, Zugos, Tana’im, Ge’onim, Rishonim and Acharonim.
This PowerPoint can be used as a teacher’s resource to teach this topic to her class.The PowerPoint can be shown to the class after they cover the unit.
